Not much happened today. I went shopping and screwed around with the birds in the house we are staying at. They have three cockatiels. Two are normal, and one is clinically insane. His name is Shipwreck… very fitting. He plucks about half his feathers out because of a nervous brain disorder. Quite entertaining. Here is a photo…

Today, more shopping. We went to Ala Moana shopping center in downtown Honolulu. Cool mall, didn’t buy anything. Afterwords we went to Ala Moana beach which is right across the street. It is a cool beach, not very crowded, and no waves… good family beach.

Right next to the beach is a park with a bunch of these common Hawaiian trees…

I forgot the name… oh well. The trunk is mainly composed of branches that dive into the ground creating one massive trunk that looks way out of proportion to the size of the tree.
