Here is some aditional information from the site:

It’s in the initial stage of production.

We hope it will be released in 2006.

It will cost less than a good mobile phone.

It will be real.

It will be OS-independent (at least it’s going to be able to work in some default state with any OS).

It will support any language or layout.

Moscow is the capital of Russia.

Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence.

It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.

Some day it will be split (and made “ergonomic”).

It will most likely use the OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow).

Our studio is located two blocks from the Kremlin.

It will feature a key-saver.

Keys could be animated when needed.

It has a numeric keypad because we love it.

There’s no snow in Moscow in summer.

It will be available worldwide (why not?)

OEM is possible (why not?)

So it looks very promissing that Linux will not be a problem for this keyboard. As long as the price is not sky high then there will be a ton of support for this keyboard based on the level of posts in forums and media coverage.

The cost of these is relatively unknown. Art Lebedev Studio said that the full size keyboard will "cost less than a good cell phone," whatever the hell that means. I estimate that it will be a couple hundred. If this is the case then the three key one will be very affordable... maybe 50 bucks.

The point of the mini one is obvious... its F'ing cool!!! :) I view it like a tangible widget dock. Is it necessary? Absolutely not. You have to think though, how many things do you purchase just for the cool factor?

I'm not really getting the point of the mini one. It doesn't seem like it would be that benificial. I don't remember seeing any price estimates for either of these anywhere. Is that because I didn't?

Thats so awesome. I will consider getting one when they come out, but to bad they will not be working with Linux (I am guessing). Cool post.
