The Tune Glue Graph

Scott Rippee @ 7:20 pm Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

TuneGlue is a visual mashup of info via last.fm and amazon and is quite entertaining. Now they just need to add audio clips and figure out how to use the UI to teach csci students about graphs. =]

Theremin? Wut dat?!

UnderpaidLoveMonki @ 7:56 pm Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

Theremin? Never heard of it… Is that a new vitamin in the latest and greatest energy drink? No! It’s an electronic instrument invented back in 1919! If you want to see and hear it in action, check out this video of a rendition of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy. Here’s another, a rendition of Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry Be Happy.”

Major Blow to Internet Radio

bucho @ 7:21 pm Monday, April 16th, 2007

MicI got an email from Pandora (excellent internet radio site… listen while you can) with some potentially devastating news effecting all internet radio stations. Instead of rewriting what I read I will simply post the email I received after the jump.

WOXY is a web radio station that I discovered listening to the web 2.0 podcast. They play non mainstream indi sounding rock which is defiantly not what I normally listen to, but thats probably why I’ve been enjoying it.

On the podcast they were presenting , which is a site that lets you trade CD’s with people for 1 buck. It goes something like: you post or find something you want to trade, lala sends both of you postage paid envelopes to put the cd in, it sends out the person you are trading with. Cool idea.
