Oscar Smosker

Scott Rippee @ 3:09 pm March 5th, 2006

I’ve been looking through all of the Oscar nominees and I am just not finding anything to get very excited about. Either there were just not that many great movies unleashed this year or I just watched a lot less films (which I did). I am definately rooting for Batman Begins for Cinematography. I had just watched it again last night and it deserves this award. That was a great one to see in the theaters.

Don’t have a competition of your own to compete in? You can cast your votes online. They definately made a good call getting John Stewart to host this year. I will watch it because of this aspect alone.

Strange Family

On a different note I came to the definative conclusion that my dad is officially strange/disgusting. This is at least partitially based on his food concoctions. Yesterday I watched him create a deviled egg taco with ranch dressing and covered in a heap of melted cheese. This is disgusting.

Batman Begins!?!?!?  That movie was highly overrated.  It was OK but far from anything that should deserve an award.  I know, i know, I am probably one of the only people that feel this way.  Smile

HAHA… that omlet taco thing is exactly something that my dad would have made.  Grab anything and everything that is readilly available in the kitchen, throw it in a frying pan, and poof… dinner.

Not even for cinematography?  I’ve been watching this and there are serveral other movies that I have seen and like also, Crash and the Constant Gardner (slow but very good), but I haven’t seen enough of the movies to know which ones I want to win.  It was pretty funny when Tom Hanks was giving his speech and they had the guys with the instruments attack him. haha

I just don’t think that Batman Begins was very good… the cinematography included.  I have only seen Memoirs of a Geisha and Batman Begins from what is on the ballot for cinematography.  Memoirs wins hands down in my opinion.  It was a very well done movie.

Haha… I just looked at the winner for cinematography…  I win!  Smile

haha!  The buch is a winner.  Yell  I need to add Memoirs of a Geisha to my watching list.
